The Zimbabwean Hip Hop Awards are set to host & celebrate their 10th anniversary this year and in doing so the Zim hip Hop awards have landed a brand new major partner, Pogues Irish Whiskey. The awards are to be hosted on the 12th of December 2020 either virtual or with audience depending on the severity of Covid 19 at the time.
Partnerships between award shows and other external firms in order to promote the relative genre of music as whole has been going on for many years it was high-time the Zimbabwean Hip Hop Awards Board landed a major cash-cow which will help and facilitate the board led by CEO and Co-founder Aldrian Beefy Harrison.
Pogues is an Irish Whisky Firm which is new to Zimbabwe and is of the notion that Africa is a world of Expression,colors,adventures,creative tools and music.The Pogues whiskey,An Irish whiskey from the band of Pogues and West Cork Distillers (not to be confused with the American whiskey Old Pogue ) is said to have the highest malt content of any blended irish whiskey and it was developed by Barry Waish and Frank McHardy .The bells will certainly be ringing out for this one .The Pogues whiskey is distributed exclusively in Zimbabwe by Liquor Supplies found both in Harare and Bulawayo.
In appreciation of the new partnership and this corporate marriage, the awards this year are dedicated to Pogues hence the title The Pogues Zimbabwean Hip Hop Awards 2020.Categories for the ceremony are as usual except the newly added Best Artist of The Decade.
Submissions for the awards will begin on 1Oct and end on 30Oct.After the submissions a selected board will adjudicate for the nominees which will be released on 12 November and the winners will be announced on the award ceremony day.
